Papers of Leroy "Stix" Morely, a coach at Western Illinois University from 1947-1969. Best known for coaching winning basketball teams throughout his entire career at Western, Morely also coached track and assisted with football during his early years at Western. The collection, which primarily documents his coaching career, includes correspondence to and from members of the WIU and Macomb communities as well as the regional athletic community; schedules, statistics, programs, clippings, and score books from games and meets; clippings and awards documenting various honors he received; several scrapbooks documenting his career; and photographs.
